A REPORT will be prepared for the coroner after a woman’s body was found dead on the banks of the Brunswick River in Mullumbimby on Wednesday November 29.

The woman, who was found nearby the river in Heritage Park, Mullumbimby about 4.30pm Wednesday 29, is yet to be formally identified but her death is not believed to be suspicious.

Tweed Byron Local Area Command crime manager Detective Inspector Brendon Cullen said the age of the woman was unclear as she is believed to have been in the water for some time.

A NSW Police spokeswoman said a post mortem was currently being undertaken to identify the woman and a report would later be prepared for the state coroner.
