Voice of Byron regular, Byron Shire Mayor Simon Richardson, has confirmed kerbside pickups will continue in flood-affected areas in the north of the Shire.
Simon says, “Kerbside pick up has continued yesterday in Billinudgel and will return today, Wednesday, 5 April.
“Crews commenced in Billinudgel and this week will work their way through to flood affected areas of New Brighton, South Golden Beach, low lying areas of Ocean Shores and Mullumbimby.
“Skip bins have also been located on Strand Avenue (New Brighton), Tom Kendall Sports Field (New Brighton) and Billinudgel on the north-west side of the railway track.
“Please, no flammable, chemical or asbestos containing materials to be placed in the skips.
“Items such as paints and oils can be dropped at the Byron Resource Recovery Centre located at 115 Manse Rd, Myocum.”
