Splendour Raises $70,000 for Cyclone Debbie Victims

BYRON FESTIVAL Splendour in the Grass may not be popular with some people, but there’s no doubt they put their money where their mouth is when it comes to helping locals.

In the wake of massive hardship caused by damage from Cyclone Debbie the Splendour people have raised nearly $70,000 towards flood relief.

Not many local business entities can top that, if any.

The Splendour Facebook page announced:

Thanks so much for all your love and support for those affected by Cyclone Debbie in the Northern Rivers!

“Through our Flood Relief Fundraiser we raised a massive $69,067.25 for our beautiful neighbours!

I hope the relief is going to help Billinudgel, New Brighton and Ocean Shores victims. They have had little to no help from Council Simon Richardson, nor state member Tamara Smith
