SIMMO’S AUTOMOTIVE Group has added another string to their bow in their Car Hire division.
Following local controversy over their campervan hire provider, Wicked Campers, Warren has now included vans for hire from Palm Beach campervan hire company, Driveabout Campers.
“Driveabout Campers is a highly respected van hire firm with a very strong reputation for quality, price and reliability,” Warren said.
“Their vans are great, and their principals Daryl and Peter have been in the vehicle hire industry for combined total of around 20 years.”
Daryl and Peter’s combined mechanical repairs experience is nothing to poke a stick at either, approaching 70 years between them.
Drivabout Campers and Byron Car Hire were brought together by John Wright, Voice of Byron editor/administrator.
“Driveabout Campers have been a client of our More Customers Group for many years, and Warren has been a strong mate for around 40 years,” said John.
“I always think it’s a great idea to get our clients dealing with each other in their own mutual interest,” he continued.
“While Warren isn’t a client as such, he’s been a really solid mate over decades and I wanted to try and help him minimise the flak he was copping over Wicked Campers’ tawdry slogans, painted on their vans.”
Wicked Campers have come under attack throughout Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and also New Zealand for the sexually discriminatory slogans on their vans.
