AN URGENT call has gone out for concerned residents to sign a petition calling for the NSW Department of Education to immediately withdraw community land in Suffolk Park from sale.
The petition says, in part: “We the Community of Suffolk Park, NSW 2481 request that the NSW State Government withdraw from sale its listing of Lot 60, Beech Drive, due for Auction on Tuesday, 29th November.
“If sold we will lose our Community Gardens, the home of Suffolk Park Football Club and other social groups.
“This is the only multi-use, open space for 4,000 Suffolk Park Residents.”
