The NSW Physical Disability Rugby League Association is working with Ballina Seagulls RLFC to start a comp in the Ballina/Byron area.

The NSWPDRLA is a sporting body originally formed in October 2010 to offer people with a Physical Disability the opportunity to play in a modified form of Rugby League.

NSWPDRLA encourages and welcomes anyone with a Physical Disability to participate in a friendly and non judgmental environment.

Teams representing the North, South, East and West of Sydney and play regularly at the Cabramatta Oval.

Terry Litton and fellow organiser Debbie Seib are liaising locally to get the comp started.

“I’m playing in the Sydney competition, I want to start a League here,” says Terry.

If you have a physical disability, such as Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, Upper or Lower Limb Amputation, effects of Stroke or have suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury or Acquired Brain Injury, then it’s your turn to pull on the boots and throw the footy around too!

Also passionate friends, family and carers… get involved and support the development of Rugby League for players with a physical disability in the Northern Rivers.”
