A NEW mobile transport app, GoByron, has been introduced across the Byron Shire by Byron Bay Taxis and Limousine Services.
Locally developed, GoByron is an app-based booking system for traditional taxis, freelance drivers in their own cars, shuttles and prestige sedans.
It offers three levels of services: GoRide for booking and GPS tracking of your vehicle, GoShuttles for airport shuttle and GoPlus for premium coach, sedan and limousine services.
“GoByron allows the passenger to control and monitor the booking process in real time from start to finish,” Byron Bay Taxis and Limousine Services chairman Lindsay Roser said.
“It offers a safe, combined ride-share and traditional taxi service with trusted, fully insured accredited service providers.”
Byron Shire Mayor Simon Richardson said the new app would be great for the local community.
“It shows how home grown local businesses in Byron Shire are leading the way in sustainable online solutions,” he said.
