A 72-YEAR-OLD man was trapped on a cliff ledge at Byron Bay for more than 90 minutes before being rescued by police and paramedics this afternoon.
Emergency services were called about 12.20 pm with reports a man was stuck on a cliff ledge at Cosy Corner at Byron Bay.
The man is believed to have been winched off the ledge at about 2pm.
He was assessed by paramedics.
A NSW Ambulance spokeswoman said the man did not require any treatment and was not taken to hospital.
