BANGALOW ADVERTISING agent Ean Jones has urged locals to act now to prevent a proposed development on Lismore Road, outside of Bangalow.

“The truth of the matter about the Bart Elias-owned development on Lismore Road is that three of the eight factories planned for this development are bigger than just the one Bunnings Warehouse Superstore in Ballina,” Ean says.

“This development will deliver not one Bunnings Warehouse Superstore for Bangalow, but three.

“To put this hideously planned development in perspective, it is about the same size as Ballina Central, Coles and Kmart combined.”

He asks Bangalow residents to decide if this is what they really want for their village.

“Is this what we really want for our beautiful town, a massive development on regionally significant farmland with factories the size of three Bunnings Warehouse Superstores, a disgraceful industrial centre the size of Ballina Fair?”

“I don’t and I doubt most of Bangalow do either. But you will get it and thousands more cars and trucks in our streets that come with it if you do nothing,” Ean says.

He urges concerned residents to take urgent action to prevent the proposed development.

“Sign a petition, ring a Councillor, speak to our state and federal MPs and remember.

“Its OK to say no to this development regardless of promises made by tenants or developers.”

That’s the first time I’ve heard something that describes the scale of it. I had no idea it was that big. Thanks
