THE Blessed Bean Cafe has now officially opened at the new Byron Central Hospital.

The Blessed Bean cafe opened for business this week with staff, patients and visitors discovering the healthy food choices and carefully crafted coffee on offer in the cafe.

Northern NSW Local Health District Chief Executive Wayne Jones said cafes were an important element in modern hospitals as they provided respite as well as refreshments to staff and patients.

“The cafe has become the meeting place for staff during their breaks to get away from the often stressful and emotional work they do each day,” Mr Jones said.

“Similarly, the cafe also provides a place of respite for those visiting loved ones during difficult times.”

The Blessed Bean staff believe that coffee has the power to change the world, and focusses on sourcing the finest coffee and produce to provide the best possible experience for their customers, with specialty grade coffee and locally grown fresh produce.

The Blessed Bean cafe is located in the main reception area of BCH and is open currently from 6.30am Monday to Friday.
