Claire McFarlane will run the beaches of 184 countries over three years to give a voice to women who have been raped, remove the taboo around rape and raise funds for healing programs fir every single country in which she runs.

BYRON BAY’S Claire McFarlane was brutally raped and left for dead on the streets of Paris in 1999.

But she won’t let her traumatic ordeal ruin her life.

In a much more positive alternative, Claire has launched a global awareness campaign, ProjectBRA,

She plans to run more than 3000km of beach across 184 countries over a three-year period.

In order to complete the challenge, Claire will have to change countries around every five days.

On 18 July 2016, Claire began her biggest adventure. She will run the beaches of every coastal country in the world: 86% of the world, 186 beaches, 16kms on each, barefoot where possible, in under 3 years. A global campaign of peaceful action to remove the taboo around rape, support the healing process and ultimately make lasting change. It is called ProjectBRA.
