BYRON RUGBY: Players show off this Saturday 16th’s charity playing strips which will be auctioned after the match.

BYRON Bay Rugby Club will host a charity day in aid of #BigThingsForBrainCancer from 1.30pm this Saturday 16th at the Byron Recreation Grounds.

This is a charity that is very close to the Club’s heart,” club president Tim Ahern said. “Brain cancer can affect anyone at any time and all money raised on the day will go towards this fantastic cause.”

At 1.50pm the day’s reserve grade fixture will kick off with the Mullum Moonshiners taking on the Lennox Head Trojans. At 3.15 hosts Byron Bay and Lennox Head who will be keen to make up for the painful 40-7 loss they suffered to Byron in the first round.

“The main charity event will take place after the final whistle with the auction of the limited edition Byron Bay charity playing jerseys,” Mr Ahern said.

“Be sure to stick around so you don’t risk missing out on the chance to bid for the playing jersey of your favourite Byron boy.”
