COUNCIL’S OPEN Space and Recycling Recovery Manager, Michael Matthews, said his Better Byron Crew have been hard at work renewing Apex Park.

“As a key location for locals and visitors, the wear and tear on the beachfront is significant,” says Michael.

“With summer on our doorstep, the team has been repairing and renewing the existing park furniture and relaying turf for everyone to enjoy.

“And as part of Council’s aim to be chemical free, garden beds are being progressively improved to help minimise weeds within the hand weeding program.”

Michael also said he was actively looking for grant funding to invest into the popular beachfront location.

Love this park and thank council for the upgrade. My granddaughter will be thrilled to see the big swing back in operation. A toddler height bubbler would be a useful addition.
