AS FROM September 1, 2016, automatically approved posting of content on Voice of Byron Facebook pages will be disabled.
Editor/Admin of both the Voice of Byron Facebook groups and the Voice of Byron website, John Wright, said the rapid growth and expansion of the Facebook/website combo means a more comprehensive content management system is essential.
“We’re getting more than 80,000 page views a month on the Voice of Byron website, so content management is vital as we continue to grow.”
He said the only way to change auto-approved posting status in Facebook groups is to remove, then re-add the affected group member.
“Members affected by our policy change will receive a message in their Facebook Notifications menu alerting them they have been added to the Facebook group Voice of Byron,” John said.
“This small policy change will enable us to treat potential stories for the Voice of Byron website in a much more accessible fashion.”
