AN AERIAL PHOTO of Byron Bay’s meatworks in 1983 appears on page 155 of the newly printed reproduction of the origin Time & Tide History of Byron Bay, originally written by the late Maurice Ryan for the Byropn Bay Centenary Committee.
Time & Tide 1.1 contains the single most comprehensive history of our town since before it was a twinkle in Captain Cook’s eyes, to when it was mistakenly named Cavanbah by a penpusher in a government department, right through until 1983.
