THE COMPANY behind many of Australia’s biggest music tours has added festivals Splendour in the Grass and Falls to its burgeoning portfolio.
New York-listed Live Nation Entertainment, which is behind Adele’s upcoming tour of Australia, announced over the weekend it had acquired 51 per cent stake in Secret Sounds Group — the company behind the two well-known festivals.
The cost of the stake was not disclosed.
Splendour in the Grass, which has been held near Byron Bay over a number of days in July since 2001, has a capacity of 30,000.
Falls Festival, which is based in Lorne in Victoria, also takes place in Byron Bay.
