The reprint’s Introduction states: “… reproduced in order to create a base from which further updates may be added, all the better to capture and preserve more of our colourful town’s history for our future generations.
“In some cases, the image scans by the original printers have been improved to the extent that they can be, and the layout changed to make it a little more easy for older eyes to read.”
