Wawan Prahara, 22.2.18
BYRON BAY has lost one of its "new" residents, the much-loved Wawan Prahara, founding member of the ever-popular Byron Bay Drum Circle.
There will be a big celebration of his life on Saturday 5pm at the Byron Bay Drum Circle at Main Beach, Byron Bay of which he was a founding member, and known to many people in this region.
Close friend Denis Pierre Johnson said in Wawan's Facebook feed, "Our prayers of course goes to Wawan's four beautiful children Djava, Tsevi, Melati, Pelangi and their mother Lorna. Fare thee well brother Wawan Prahara."
Voice of Byron member Craig Washbourne said, "I was saddened today to read of the passing of our dear friend Wawan Prahara. May he rest peacefully and be forever remembered for the joy he brought with his main beach drum circle."
Craig put together this collage as a memorial to Wawan.
