Voice of Byron regular, Manfred Makauskas, shared this magic video from Tracks Magazine depicting surfing and lifestyle scenes in 1960s Byron Bay.
The Tracks article by Nick Colbe says, “I guess you could see this as a representation for all who dream of surfing these now crowded line ups with just their friends.
“For some who found paradise at the right time and place, this clip of Byron Bay would be quite nostalgic.
“Others would argue that this clip was filmed yesterday on some squirrels super 8 he bought for a grand on e-bay.
“But no, looking at the lack of development on the grassy hills and beautiful beaches this is from a time before.”
