THE PLANNING committee of the Byron Bay Public School 125th Anniversary celebrations have continued their work to make it a very special for the school and Byron Bay.
“We have several individuals confirmed their attendance at the official ceremony on Saturday,” Committee chairman Geoff Spargo said this week.

“Mick O”Regan has agreed to be our MC. Peter Alexander and Davis Jenson, two school captains and representing their families, will be guest speakers, sharing their insights into BPPS over the last 25 years.”
Geoff also said that Delta Kay, past student and parent, will open the ceremony with welcome to country representing the Arakwal people of the Bundjalung Nation.
Other VIP’s to be invited will include Senna Halpin (youngest student), Hazel Roberts (oldest student), Esme Walker (oldest ex teacher), Simon Richardson (Mayor Byron Shire), Tamara Smith (MP for Ballina, Carolyn Finter (longest serving teacher in service), Johan Caoyonan and Yasmin Wentzel (school captains).
