SARA CONNER’S ex-husband, Anthony “Twig” Connor, travelled to Bali last week to visit her.
The strain of the past two weeks showed in Trig’s emotional response to questions about Sara’s innocence and of his love for her.
According to News Ltd, “Sara’s two boys made their mum a video, telling her how much they love her and asking for her to come home soon.
“The Byron Bay mum’s ex-husband revealed today how much their two boys loved their mum and of the deep sympathy the whole family feels toward the Balinese policeman she is accused of murdering.”
The Sydney Morning Herald says Twig “rubbed his eyes and blinked rapidly to hold back tears, as he described his enduring love for the mother of his children and his emphatic belief that she was innocent.”
“When she came out of her room, she was shaking. The first thing she said was ‘Do you have photos of the boys?'” an emotional Mr Connor told reporters in his first major interview since the ghastly day he learnt his former wife’s handbag had been found at a crime scene in Bali.”
Twig says there’s no way Sara was involved in the murder of Balinese police officer Wayan Sudarsa on Kuta beach.
“Of course she’s innocent. It’s a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.”
