Too Many Notifications from Facebook: DESKTOP

Here's how to remain in your favourite groups but cut down on the number of messages and notifications you receive from the groups:

Click on the little upside down triangle at the top right of your Facebook page

In "Notifications" click "Edit" on the "On Facebook" icon

In "Groups activity" click the "Edit" button

Then click the "Show More" link to display all the groups you are in
05choose-setting
Now choose "Off" to prevent notifications from the group you have chosen

You can safely click "Off" for all other Voice of Byron groups except the original Voice of Byron. All posts appear in the original Voice of Byron group, then are shared with other relevant groups, depending on the post content.

Then just go Settings (scroll down near the bottom)

  1. Account Settings, then
  2. Notifications, then
  3. Group posts, then
  4. Choose the group you wish to cancel Notifications for, and finally
Choose Off to stop notifications from the group you have chosen
