THERE are only three people who know what happened on a dark and deserted Bali beach in the early hours of August 17 last year.
One of them is dead.
Another has given this version: “A theft, an attack by the police and self-defence from me.”
The third person who was there that night will give her version in Denpasar District Court today.
In what will be a crucial day in Bryon Bay mum Sara Connor’s bid to be exonerated of any role in the events of that night, the 46-year-old will testify publicly for the first time about what happened when she and her lover, 34-year-old Brit David Taylor, crossed paths with long-time Bali police officer Wayan Sudarsa.
Sara is due to testify in Taylor’s trial today, Jan 30.
Taylor has already testified in Sara’s trial, giving a graphic account of a vicious fight with the police officer which saw the officer bashed about the head with a beer bottle so hard that the bottle smashed.
