PETER SENIOR has made himself available for the Australian Legends Tour Championship at the Byron Bay Golf Club next week.
The 57-year-old announced his retirement when he was forced to pull out of the second round of the Australian Open with a hip injury less than a fortnight ago.
Byron Bay Golf Club secretary-manager Wendy Perry confirmed that Senior would play after responding to an email on Monday.
Senior has won the event multiple times in the past and was beaten in a play-off against Tod Power last year.
The event is running for a 10th straight year and is stacked with big names including former British Open winner Ian Baker-Finch.
“This year will again see the likes of Peter Senior and many more Australian golfing greats return to compete on our challenging, but picturesque course here at Byron Bay,” Wendy said.
