SINGER-SONGWRITER Pete Murray has traded in the Byron Bay beaches to return to the hinterland.
He has bought a retreat at Newrybar, a four-bedroom home some 9 km from his former abode.
Murray, who sold his near beachfront Suffolk Park home, Blue Sky Beach House, for $2,205,000 has now spent $1,685,000 on the hinterland property.
The two-level home on its 6107 sqm lot comprises an open-plan kitchen and large outdoor entertaining spaces offering views over the hinterland.
There’s also an ornamental vineyard.
The home was marketed by agent Scott Harvey with approved plans for renovations that including an infinity pool and a Balinese bathhouse.
