THE BYRON Bay Bluesfest 2017 lineup announcement sees organisers bringing out the legends, and it looks like they’ve been saving one of their biggest and most iconic names ’til last.
“Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the one and only Neil Young to Bluesfest 2017.”
The Canadian rock and folk icon will be playing Byron Bay Bluesfest 2017 with his new band, Promise of the Real.
No doubt the addition of Young and his band to next year’s lineup makes it one of the festival’s biggest yet.
“Bluesfest is proud to announce our headliner for 2017,” said Bluesfest director Peter Noble.
“Neil Young and his incredible new band Promise of the Real, are coming to Bluesfest to perform their full 3 hour set on Friday, April 14, on our Crossroads stage.”
“Neil’s recent sets have included such classics as ‘Heart of Gold’, ‘Out on the Weekend’, ‘Harvest Moon’, ‘Powderfinger’, ‘Cowgirl in the Sand’, ‘Everybody Knows This is Nowhere’, ‘Cortez the Killer’ and ‘Rockin’ in the Free World’ – WOW. I can’t wait!” says Peter.
