Voice of Byron and KWIMABB regular, Melissa Darnley, shared this post by Cape Byron Lighthouse Friends and Volunteers, calling for help in identifying the kids in this photo.
The photo is to be part of the Cape Byron Lighthouse Children’s Display which is part of the new museum at the lighthouse.
The post says, “Thanks to Jenny Greenhalgh, our Museum Committee have received some photos and a wonderful old birthday party invitation at the Lighthouse sent to her Aunt Laura in 1936.

“We hope to reveal this invitation, hand written and signed by Norman Uhr, then Head Lighthouse Keeper, as a feature in our Lighthouse children’s display in the new Museum room we are working hard to open early next year.
“The letter has given us a fascinating glimpse into what life was like for the Lighthouse families but also for those who lived in town back then.
“Jenny tells us that this photo of children was taken in 1935.
“Her father Bill Wells is in the car and his sisters are on the right (Laura on far right is who the party invitation was to) and her dad’s brother is behind him.
“She has no idea who the two other boys on the left and right are but maybe somebody can help us identify them?”
