A TWEET from actor Chris Hemsorth has helped Bernard Fanning’s third solo album, Civil Dusk, achieve four ARIA nominations for 2016.
The album was recorded at La Cueva, Bernard’s own studio in Tyagarah.
Civil Dusk peaked at number 2 in the ARIA album charts after its August 6, 2016 release.
Fanning’s good mate Chris Hemsworth helped get the ball rolling with a tweet just prior to the album release.

Two of the ARIA nominations went to Fanning: Best Male Artist and Best Adult Contemporary Album.
Another nomination for Civil Dusk was for iconic Byron Bay producer Nick Didia: Engineer Of The Year.
A fourth nomination, Best Cover Art, went to Karen Lynch for the album’s artwork.
Civil Dusk is part one of two albums. The second installment, Brutal Dawn, will be released in 2017.
Fanning said the nominations were a pleasant surprise.
