HOLY COW – The Farm’s most adorable resident has become the most famous calf in Australia.
Photos of the Scottish Highlander poddy calf, a star attraction at the Ewingsdale tourist park, have amassed hundreds of thousands of likes on Instagram.
Social media users are so obsessed with Braveheart that unofficial accounts continue to pop up with photographs of the cute and fluffy animal.
General manager Johnson “Johno’’ Hunter said Braveheart was definitely The Farm’s main attraction since his arrival in October.
“He has a quirky personality,” Mr Hunter said.
“He is now on grass and weighs about 50kg. Soon he will be put in with the other calves.”
Braveheart’s future was uncertain when staff from The Farm came across him in the furthest paddock.
The youngster, which had been abandoned by its mother, almost died after he spent more than 24 hours alone. He was covered in ticks.
Mr Hunter tried to reconnect Braveheart with his mother and the herd but they pushed him away.
Braveheart then went home with Mr Hunter and stayed in his spare room for a week until he was stronger and able to move back to The Farm.
To make sure he did not get lonely, keepers at The Farm found him a sheep friend named Silence and the pair have been inseparable since.
