VOICE of BYRON regular, David Frappell, has a few words to say regarding the state of the Rails parking lot and nearby Butler Street Reserve.
David says, “Walking around the Butler Street Reserve and the Car park area around the Railway Friendly Bar is embarrassing to say the least.
“Pot holes, no regrowing vegetation on the railway, a narrow crossing lane that doesn’t allow a pedestrian and a bike to cross paths (which is often full of deep puddles of fowl water so deep your shoes get soaked).

“What do tourists think of the town when they see this deplorable condition of the almost centre of Beautiful Byron Bay?
“Doesn’t any one think that it represents our attitude to our selves?”

Your right David what do they think, the developers put bitumen over the rail line (with no conciltation to residents)to make it into a car park, they didn’t even consider that water would back up on our only walk way across to town from butler st where there is anywhere up to180 people an hour crossing there, why hasn’t the council overseen this?another reason to be upset in the way our community is treated by the council, Simon talks about communicating with locals, he doesn’t know how to.
deep puddles of fowl water? For water fowl perhaps?
What is ‘fowl’ water?
