VOICE of BYRON regular, Lee Raphael Cass, shared this video of the new train which will be running from Elements in to town and back.
Lee says, “The train just went past. It gave a little toot before leaving its shed and went past steadily. Not annoying. On its second trip the lawn mower next door drowned it completely. Couldn’t see any fumes so guess its running on batteries.

What a beautiful sight! We so need this train to show what a great thing rail travel is and inspire others to take up the cause of bringing trains back to our wonderful picturesque Northern Rivers, that has virtually NO public transport, especially for the elderly and disabled. Roll on, solar powered beauty!
