Voice of Byron regular, Anny Reed, reminds us that submissions regarding the impact of coastal protection works on the Belongil.
Anny says, “Belongil ‘coastal protection works’ on private properties and adjacent road reserves are advertised on p. 42 of the Echo.
“Submissions close on 17 March and will be assessed by the NSW Coastal Panel.”
Submissions
The NSW Coastal Panel will advertise all development applications received, notify nearby landholders and relevant public authorities, and invite submissions.
Submissions must be received by the panel by close of business on the final day of the exhibition period and should include:
- your name and address
- the name of the application and the application number
- a statement on whether you support or object to the project.
Submissions should be:
- emailed to coastal.panel@environment.nsw.gov.au, or
- faxed to (02) 9995 5939, or
- posted to Chair, NSW Coastal Panel, c/- Office of Environment and Heritage, PO Box A290, Sydney South NSW 1232.
Everyone lodging a submission is required to declare all political donations (including donations of $1000 or more) made in the previous two years. Visit the Department of Planning and Environment for more details, including a disclosure form.
