Different Approach for Railway, Bus Stop & Markets

  • Post category:Byron Bay

VOICE of BYRON regular, Cheryl Woodlands, shared her option for solving the parking/markets issue in Byron Bay.

Cheryl says, “Leave the Markets where they are and utilise the Railway Station for the Bus Terminal by restoring it and adding to it if need be.

Closed the vehicle entrance to Jonson Street and incorporate into the Railway Park.

The land between the railway line and Butler Street should be large enough for parking and buses coming and going.

I wish Byron Council would consult with Coffs Harbour Council as they turned Park Ave in the centre of town into a mall. A few years later reopened it to traffic due to Crime, vagrancy and an empty section of vacant shops. Would like to hear from the Byron Bay Chamber of Commerce Re The road closures proposed in town.

    What’s the big deal?
The Butler street residents get a bus station, and a by- pass, no one really cared about the Cavvanbah Street Residents or the Belongil Residents getting a train did they?

    YOU CAN’T STOP PROGRESS
