Draft Coastal Zone Management Plan for Cape Byron to Main Beach
BYRON SHIRE Council has developed a new draft Coastal Zone Management Plan (CZMP) for some of Australia’s most iconic beaches from Cape Byron to Main Beach at Byron Bay.
The Eastern Precincts CZMP includes Main Beach, Clarkes Beach, The Pass, Wategos, Little Wategos and Cape Byron.
Council Animal Pest Trapping Program Now Underway
BYRON SHIRE Council’s pest animal trapping program is now underway with foxes, wild dogs and feral cats being targeted in Clunes, Booyong, Nashua and Goonengerry.
The program, which has been run before by Council, is designed to minimise the impact of pest animals on livestock and wildlife and in some cases, people and their domestic pets.
