Our goal is to landscape the easement on Ewingsdale Road near the cycle bridge to improve aesthetics, runoff quality and reduce the potential for week infestation. We will meet at the Cavanbah Centre carpark, sign on at either 9 or 10am.

Biggest Crystals in the World Land at Crystal Castle

THE WORLD’S largest “crystal guardians” have completed an epic journey from Uruguay to the Byron Bay hinterland.

Standing 5.3m tall and weighing 19 tonnes, the pair of crystals are estimated to be at least 120 million years old.

“Managing Dreamer” of the Crystal Castle, Naren King, mortgaged his property to buy the massive pair from a Uruguayan farmer.

Tim Stokes to Showcase New Songs at Byron Theatre

IN LIFE Thou Art is Tim Stokes’ brand new music release. The Byron Bay singer-songwriter said he is preparing to unveil the six songs in a show that will offer a singer-songwriter concert.

“I’ll be playing with my band and the idea is to reproduce the sounds of the EP as closely as I can,” he said.

ATO Tax Scam Alert

THE AUSTRALIAN Competition and Consumer Commission is urging Australians to hang up on and delete tax scams after more than $1 million was reported lost to Scamwatch already this year, with over 300 people reporting that they lost money to tax scams in the first half of the year.

This is compared to 400 people who reported losing money in the 12 months previous, with $1.6 million lost in total.
