JUST WHEN you thought you’d done everything there is to do in Byron Bay, there’s a new kid in town – backgammon.
Local backgammon enthusiast, Tim Hochgrebe, wants to form a Byron Bay Backgammon Group.
Tim is inviting backgammon enthusiasts via his Facebook page to contact him to see if there are enough interested people to proceed.
“People don’t have to be expert – it’s just as much fun for beginners as well,” says Tim.
A member of the Australian Backgammon League, Tim says it’s best to meet every fortnight for scheduled games.
“The ideal number of players is around 20 players at a meet, so I’m hoping to get 50 to 100 members in my Facebook page so we can be certain of a good sized group on game nights.
“I aiming for a fortnightly casual competition with a nice prize for the winner,” says Tim.
Check out Tim’s Facebook Page and give a LIKE if you play backgammon.
