IT’S TIME for all the screeching and braying about pill testing to stop. Now.
Every political man/woman and their dog is strutting and begging for attention on this, the latest band wagon.
From every political corner, they’re doing their best to twist their story into an attack on one or more of their perceived opposition.
All of them.
Yet no-one is seeking to address the elephant in the room.
It’s simple.
No government can implement pill testing without tacitly approving the use of illegal drugs. So it will never happen. It simply can’t.
Pill testing is actually a red herring. Cynically and emotively sprayed left, right and centre by individuals and groups hoping to further their own public profile.
There is only one answer.
The illegal drug laws need to be changed to legalise these drugs. And government quality controls should be implemented, as they are for tobacco and alcohol.
But don’t hold your breath.
The world illegal drug spending figure is around SEVENTEEN times the size of the world military spend.
Any politician trying to get illegal drugs legalised will end up dead. Full stop.
Time to move on to the next political kicking can.
