RARELY DO I write up an obit for Voice of Byron with such feelings of sadness and loss as I do now, saying goodbye to a mate of 45 years – the amazing Brendan "Mookx" Hanley.
Brendan wouldn't want me to feel sad, but rather to celebrate his legendary life. But I feel sad anyway.
He left us on Monday night, December 4th at 10.30 pm after a long battle with cancer... and is more than likely now leading singing lessons for the angels above. Travel safe, old mate. – John Wright.
Mookx's funeral is Friday 8th, 10am at Lismore Crematorium, cnr Skyline Road & Rous road, Goonellabah NSW 2480
"A little piece of the Northern Rivers is now floating above us in the night sky. RIP, farewell, and go well Mookx. Keep on singing." — Lucy Ashley
