VOICE of BYRON regular, Nicqui Yazdi, calls for new team members to help in the Byron Bay Schoolies Hub.
Nicqui says, “The Byron Schoolies Safety Response are still looking for volunteers to help with the Byron Schoolies HUB.
“It starts on Nov 17 and goes til Dec 4 and at least 100 volunteers are needed to make it all happen.

“If you’ve thought about volunteering, but aren’t sure about it, then check out this video made by the Alcohol and Drug Foundation last year, after the BUDDI Community Drug Action Team won the first ever ‘2016 State Influence Award’ from the NSW Ministry of Health for a Community Drug Action Team program of excellence for their work over the last nine years of running the Byron Schoolies HUB.
“To volunteer to be a part of this award winning program, contact the coordinator Nicqui at hubvolunteers@yahoo.com.au to register.
“Get involved in this great program! It’s fun and it helps to keep our town and these young visitors safe and happy!
“There were two videos produced by the Alcohol & Drug Foundation last year about how schoolies is managed here and about how anyone can get involved in volunteering and can make a difference in their community.
