A MAN and woman have been arrested following an alleged assault of another man where he ear was partially bitten off in Byron Bay early this morning.
About 12.30am (Sunday October 8), the man and woman were walking along Jonson Street when they became involved in an altercation with a 26-year-old man known to the pair.
Police allege the man and woman commenced to assault the man by kicking and punching him to the head and body. It is further alleged the man’s ear was partially bitten off during the attack.
Patrolling police noticed the assault and immediately intervened arresting the man and woman.
The injured man was treated at the scene before being taken to Byron Bay Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
