IT WAS a case of superhero turned super fan as Aquaman’s Jason Momoa took up residence at Byron Bay’s Bluesfest over the weekend.
The American actor, who is on the Gold Coast to film the DC Comics flick, spent the weekend backstage at the annual blues and roots festival, partying with artists and snapping selfies with locals.
He was one of the tens of thousands of revellers to enjoy the weekend of uninterrupted blue skies at Bluesfest, which kicked off on Friday and concludes today with headline performances by Kasey Chambers and Neil Finn.
Momoa took to Instagram to describe the weekend as the “time of my life” as well as spruiking artists he met at the event, including American signer Melody Angel, to his 2.1 million followers.
Angel responded: “I met Jason Momoa backstage the day before and he said he would check out my set the next day and he did! He’s such sweet guy.”
Hollywood buddies Chris Hemsworth and Matt Damon were also spotted at Bluesfest on Friday night.
