ICONIC SINGER George Michael once retreated to Byron Bay for two months to deal with his crippling emotional anxiety, nearly three years before he passed away on Christmas Day 2016.
Michael, 53, died ‘peacefully’ at his home in the United Kingdom on Christmas Day, local time, according to his publicist.
But in 2013 he was in Byron Bay at a $46,000 per week rehab clinic called Sanctuary, according to reports at the time.
The Sanctuary is reported to have costed $46,000 a week at the time when Michael checked in.
Then aged 49, he was reported to have checked in for two months in February 2013 to be treated for ’emotional anxiety and other issues’.
