BYRON BAY’S Mark “Mono” Stewart has made it into the finals of the World Adaptive Surfing Championships in La Jolla Beach, San Diego, California for the second year running.
Mono took out the inaugural championships last year, and surfed one of his best efforts ever to make the semi-finals.
Before the semis he said, “Through to the semi finals tomorrow.
“This was the best 6 point ride I’ve ever had in a comp! Go the Bay, cheers.
“Thanks so much for all the support from home and here.”
Bay friends and supporters will all have their fingers and toes crossed for Mono to make it two years in a row, and to bring home the world championship trophy again.
