BYRON Bay surfer Kyuss King’s second placing in the 16 Boys Division at the 2016 ISA World Junior Surfing Championships in Portugal has resulted in him being ranked number two in the world.
“I’m so stoked to be crowned number two in the world,” Kyuss said.
His nine out of 10 score in the semi-final resulted in his scoring his spot in the four-man final.
Kyuss finished his international campaign with a Team Australia silver medal and his individual silver medal.
Kyuss’ website says h named after the legendary Rock Band “Kyuss”, and he was born and lives in a farm house on the country side of Byron Bay with his younger brother Rasmus, dad Kingie and mum Eva.
