LOCALLY CREATED film Burns Point will play in October at the Byron Bay Film Festival.

Further investigation into the murder mystery reveals the production has Northern Rivers locals’ fingerprints all over it, including ‘yours truly’ playing a taxi driver delivering a line with a clue.

Also, Cate Feldmann from Mullumbimby and Tintenbar’s John Rado play characters in the film, while Empire Vale’s postman Gary Carr and David Felch appear in cameos. Lennox’s Benny Campbell worked as a lighting and production assistant.

Filmed mostly around Ballina, Burns Point is the creation of South Ballina’s Empire Vale resident Chris Blackburn (Writer/Producer). Wife Carolyn worked tirelessly multitasking behind the scenes as their home became the film’s unit-base.
