SARA CONNOR’S family has instructed Sydney barrister Peter Strain to help with her case after she was named a suspect in a Balinese policeman’s death.
Mr Strain will be accompanied by Sara’s ex-husband, Anthony “Twig” Connor, leaving over the weekend so they can meet with Sara on Monday.
Co-founder of the Australian Lawyers Surfing Association, Mr Strain is also familiar with Bali and the Nusa Tenggara region.
Boyfriend Admits Bashing Policeman
The lawyer acting for David Taylor (Sara’s boyfriend) has said Taylor admits to bashing Balinese policeman Wayan Sudarsa on the beach at Kuta in the early hours of the morning of August 17.
Ms Connor’s lawyer, Indonesian Erwin Siregar, has made it very clear that Sara maintains her innocence.
Siregar said she was trying to separate Mr Sudarsa and Mr Taylor when they were fighting, to “protect the victim”.
