TENNIS LEGEND Pat Rafter and wife Lara have built their dream home on the 28-hectare parcel of land they bought for $1.35 million, just outside Byron Bay.
And they’ve listed for sale their Sunshine Coast beachfront home for $18 million.
Since retiring, Rafter went on to become an underwear model for Bonds, a brand ambassador for the Mantra Group of hotels and a successful businessman.
In 2010 he was announced as Australia’s Davis Cup captain and held the post until stepping down last year.
His greatest accomplishments came at the US Open, where he won back to back titles in 1997 and 1998, propelling him to world number one status in 1999.
